"can't read my, can't read my, no he can't read my poker face..."

sunday... poker night.
i don't think i've played poker since 1954, so this was kind of a new adventure.
we started with playing the kind where you put your card on your forehead.
and i was a champ. thinking to myself, "this poker stuff is simp!"
...well, then things got a little tricky when texas hold 'em started.
(after a round of popcorn.)
...he definitely snorted that back in the bowl.
lets just say, hold 'em is not my game.
i was so lost and basically sacrificed all my chips before chris (aka my poker brain) showed up and offered to help.
i started to gain chips back, slowly but surely...
and no one could read my poker face.
(is it strange that the only thing i could think of all night was the lady gaga song?)
things were going good for me...
and then borg made an appearance.
he managed to distract me, somehow, to the point where i had given up all hope on getting anywhere with my poker & gamblin' skills.
i decided to feed my artistic side instead.
poker is an all-american sport, right?
when the boys realized i'd lost all focus in the game, they decided it was time to call it quits.
by that time, it was past midnight, aka mormon-ly legal to go to denny's.
so we went on the adventure to salina, had some great mozzerella stick grilled cheese sandwiches, made friends with the waiter, and headed home.
before we got back to richfield, we may or may not have stopped in sigurd for a secret mission involving spoons. (sorry borg. you love your new lawn decorations, right?)
we arrived back in r-town around 230, had a brief dance party in albertson's parking lot, and headed home to snuggle safely in bed. (:
i'd have to say, poker night was a success.
i love my richfield friends.
