being in the uvu honors has blessed me with a lot of opportunities i wouldn't have had otherwise... most of those being attendance at crazy events such as the

KISS hottest show on earth tour 2010

i've never been a die-hard KISS fan.  in fact, i didn't know until we were on our way to the concert that they sang rock and roll all nite. embarrassing, right?  i pretty much decided to go so i would have the privilege of saying, "yeah, i went to a KISS concert. i'm cool."

but even though i didn't know a majority of the songs, i still enjoyed every second. from people watching, to being creeped out by gene simmons, it was definitely a night to remember.

here's just a few highlights:

this man was trying to win a contest as the KISS biggest fan to get backstage passes.  he had my vote. tattoo? he is clearly the biggest fan.

unfortunately, this man && his little dressed-up wifey won the contest. i honestly thought he was a member of KISS when i first saw him.

...but i think it made tattoo man cry a little.

...gene simmons,aka the creepiest.  at this part in the show, they put green lights on him, he moved around like a creeper and squirted blood out of his mouth.  everyone thought it was so cool... i almost peed my pants.  i would hate to run into him in a dark alley...

...and then he just randomly flew into the rafters and started rocking out! my mind was blown.

but unfortunately my camera was dead so i couldn't document this evening completely.  basically the night ended with the best songs & singalongs, a not-so-epic guitar smash, and a huge donation to american soldiers. (i cried a little.)

this concert was definitely the experience of a life time.  the only word i can think to describe it is: insane.  if any of you get the chance to see KISS live...

do it!!!
