days of my life in richfield. (:

i know school has started.
i know that i should stay in orem and reestablish my life there.
i also know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God...
but that doesn't stop me from visiting richfield every spare moment.
i am pretty sure i can do that 2 hour drive in my sleep...
(but i won't, because that would be highly dangerous!)

so, here are my hometown adventure stories.
saturday night. 3 farewells and singing in church the next day.
we're all hanging out at ashton's, playing phase ten, when someone gets the brilliant idea... "let's go to the hotpots tonight!"
ya see, i'm  not one to turn down late night adventures to somewhere warm, so of course i was game for this extravaganza. although, not everyone was. so, we dropped off the party poopers and the rest of us (me, ashton, jd, hannah, and taylor) headed out to monroe to the mystic hot springs.

these particular hot springs cost $10 a person to get in, but we were feeling rebellious and didn't think anyone was there so late at night, so we just went on in.
(besides, $10 is a ridiculous price to pay to sit in dirty half-warm water in std infested bathtubs!)
so there we were, hannah & taylor in one bathtub, me, jd, and ashton crammed in another, just trying to enjoy the nice evening...
when we hear a voice asking hannah, "what are you doing?"
...crap. we've been caught.
hannah kindly directs the scary hotpot owning hippie man over to ashton, jd, and my bathtub. jd && i were too nervous to speak, so we left the sweet talk to ashton. their conversation went a little like this...

"what are you doing?"
"oh, just trying to get hot..."
"i see. did you pay?"
"um no sir, i didn't know i was supposed to."
"you been here before?"
"once, but i didn't pay that time either..."
"well, its ten bucks a person. so you owe me... fifty bucks for you five and then ten for the last time you came. that is sixty bucks. pay up or get out. 5 4 3 2 1 go."
*everyone stands up and starts to leave*
"so i guess you're gonna leave then?"
"well sir, if i had a choice i would pay, but i don't have any money."
"ha, well how about next time you go to mcdonalds you try that same trick? what do you think they'd do if you ordered your food and then told them you didn't have any money?"
"well, they'd probably laugh at me."
"you're right! they would. where are you from?"
"richfield..."
"ha! richfield! you know the drill. you know what i think you are? i think you are a dumb em-effer. what's your name?"
"its ...jeffrey. sullivan."
"well jeffrey sullivan, if that is your real name, i'm gonna remember that.  you are leading your friends astray.  i don't think you are good people. i think you're stealing..."

so at this point, we were all basically running down the mountain back to the car while he is yelling rude things at us. adventure #1 of the night? check. but we're not even half way done.

we get back into richfield at about 130, and none of us are tired, so we decide to go over to the holiday inn, where ashton's brother chris was working, so we could go hot tubbing... but first, ashton decides to play a prank on his brother by calling in a fake reservation. he puts on his best "older man" voice and...

"holiday inn, how can i help you?"
"hello, i was wondering if you had any honeymoon suites available for this evening with heart-shaped jacuzzis?"
"i'm afraid we don't have any rooms like that."
"well, do you have any king suites?"
"yes, we have a number available for this evening."
"and is it possible to get a bottle of champagne delivered to my suite?"
"i'm sorry, but we don't have any alcohol."
"no heart jacuzzi or alcohol? well, how about wall thickness. do you have thick walls? ya see, me and the mrs. are feeling a little frisky, if ya know what i mean, and we really need a room for the night."
"i'm not sure about the thickness of the walls..."
"alright, well just hold that room for me and i'll be there in a second to check it out."

so we get there, and jd has a brilliant plan. chris doesn't know taylor, so we send him in to pretend he was the man that made the reservation.  he is wearing a towel around his waist, my flip flops, and we gave him strict instructions to remove his shirt as soon as he got into the room.  as soon as chris took him in the elevator to go see the room, we all arranged ourselves casually in the lobby so when they came back chris would know it was a joke.
the moment they stepped back off that elevator, we all just busted up laughing... pretty sure chris felt like a total idiot.  apparently, taylor had taken off his shirt in the elevator and chris must have thought he was really antsy, because he started explaining the width of the walls immediately. hahaha it might have only been funny if you were there, but i thought it was hilarious.

once we got to the hot tub, we decided to play never have i ever, and every time you ran out of fingers you had to do a dare. it got pretty interesting...
hannah licked jd's butt....chin.
jd did a handstand in a cold shower and sang tik tok... but forgot the words so he turned a weird color and got really cold.
taylor and ashton both had to swim laps. naked. (we didn't look!)
ashton had to kiss me. wow. didn't even know what hit me. haha
... and i had to ask chris (who apparently has a babycrush on me?) on a date.
which was very hard for me, as i have never done that before.

we left the holiday inn at about 4... we decided at this point that it was stupid to even go to bed because we were all waking up at 7 to get ready for farewell #1 (rhett barton), so all of us (excluding jd, aka partypooper.) went on the adventure that is called dragging main in richfield! haha sooo lame, but fun at the same time. at 430 a.m.  at about 530, we headed over to my house and just talked until 630, when i took ashton home so his parents wouldn't discover that he had been gone all night.  i took a 39 minute powernap and... it didn't work.  i was still fully exhausted for the sunday festivities (rhett barton, kyle finlinson, and mckord harris farewells), and took an everlasting nap after church and the farewell luncheons.  i even slept through the star wars marathon that night.

and then, there was the hotpot remix night. aka last night.
there is this tiny town on the other side of the mountain called meadow
that has the most amazing free natural hot springs. && we love free things...
so we drove a whole hour to the middle of nowhere to sit in a 30 foot deep whole full of dirty, yet warm, water for hours in the middle of the night.
of course, i was the only girl. i thought a coug was going to eat me...
but it was an adventure for sure. just not quite as adventurous as the first hotpot extravaganza.

and now, here i am in st. george, not wanting to go to bed because i know when i wake up, i'll have to go to the doctor in vegas. not excited.  but, i guess i can't put it off forever...
wish me luck! (:
