"called to serve Him, Heavenly King of Glory."

i never liked ryan frandsen. ever. we just couldn't get along. he was the last person in the world i ever expected to get close with this past summer, but somehow it happened. (my first impressions never last.)
ryan turned out to be one of the sweetest, most considerate, chivalrous boys i have ever met in my life. and surprisingly, our personalities are a lot alike.
almost too much alike.

we made a lot of memories this last summer. even though i live in orem, i still would visit to richfield quite often. (maybe a little too often?) we filled the days with ultimate frisbee, stargazing, movies in the mortuary, and night time walks talking about anything and everything. the moments with this kid changed me. he made me want to be a better person && i miss him more than he could ever know.
i am so proud of the decision that ryan has made to go on a mission to serve the Lord. he has such a strong testimony and he will not let anyone waver his faith in what he needs to do. the people of cleveland are so blessed to have him serving as an elder in their area, and i know that he will make a huge difference in many lives, just like he did mine. he has become one of my best friends, and saying goodbye was one of the hardest things i have had to do.
saying goodbye:
you can't tell, but i was fighting back tears.
"lets take a cute picture? ok we failed."
