what makes you different from everyone else?

so i was cruising myspace the other day, which is something i do when i wanna remember the good old days, when i saw a post i did of a poem i wrote for 11th grade english titled "song of myself" that i think fits for this blog post (:

"i am more than meets the eye.

there are things deeper than skin

that make me who i am.

i'm an individual.

i am superman.

i am invincible.

yet i fall time and time again.

even superman has his kryptonite.

i am a princess in a castle

surrounded by brick walls.

i control the drawbridge

and choose carefully whom i let in.

i stand out,

and i live for laughter.

wisdom only comes

after learning to laugh at your mistakes.

i'm not perfect,

and i know i never will be,

but i have learned to love my imperfections

and improve them more every day.

i'm a dance in the rain,

a smile in the street.

i am who i am

and i wouldn't trade it for the world."
