apologies are funny things.
like how a sincere apology can reverse even the deepest of hatred into respect, at the least, and [if you're lucky] friendship && even love.
then, on the other hand, how an insincere apology can do nothing but make a situation worse.
the world seems to be abundant with apologizers of the insincere variety these days.
...but that's not important right now, because today, i'm lucky. i was able to witness an apology that wasn't sarcastic or seemingly forced. not one bit.
so today, i'm thankful for sincere apologies && the people who deliver them.
a real apology requires letting someone see inside you to some degree, which can be scary, and those fearless enough to do it deserve a little respect. no no, they deserve a lot of respect && we would all do well to learn from them.
