answered prayers.

it's no secret that i'm not the most decisive person in the world...
so i'm sure no one really believed me when i said i was moving to st. george for the summer.
still, i was dead set and ready to start a new chapter of my life.

then, of course... life happened. as i always do, i began to doubt my decision. i couldn't find a job. i didn't want my sisters fighting over who i lived with. a boy came into the picture. unforeseen changes with school came into play.

and i was back where i started.
clueless.

and then it began again... the pros & cons lists between richfield, provo, and st. george, the praying, the complaining, and the advice-asking.

i even went on a late-night swim last night to clear my head and think a bit.
[the only thing that came of that was the memory of my dad teaching me to swim... almost made me cry. story for later? i think so!]

all i was looking for was some little sign. or an answered prayer. or even for my mother to tell me what to do. [reaaalll mature, brielle!] ... and then this morning, my mom called me. let me tell ya, this woman is so in tune to the spirit she knew exactly what i needed to do. i feel soooo lucky to have her! after relieving my stress by telling me to stop worrying about school [something i never thought i'd hear!], she told me about a brilliant encounter she had with the owner of the local floral shop, who basically said she would give me a job in richfield if i needed it. mom also offered the idea that i could help my dad on funerals to get a feel for if i really want to go to mortuary school... all while saving every ounce of money i earn!

everything seemed right about this idea she gave me. i realized that i only wanted to go to st. george to please my sisters, and staying in provo just because i'm comfortable and there is a boy here i kinda like isn't going to help me out.  at my parent's house, i can be with my family and save a ton of money while being in the town i love.  richfield was the right decision all along, and i'm so glad i have my mom to help me realize what i'm sometimes too stubborn to see! ♥
