and what kind of blogger would i be if i didn't make a post dedicated to CHRiSTMAS on each of these twelve lovely days? so..
on the twelfth day of christmas, brielle blogged about
christmas at temple square.
gorgeous lights & the nativity in the reflecting pool.
as if the Joseph Smith Memorial Building wasn't gorgeous enough, they go and add an amazingly huge, beautiful tree right in the middle. ♥
ariane and i with rj.. aka the whole reason we were there.
[rj is a member of the latter day celebration choir, so we went to go see him perform. they were amazing!]
us with our hot cocoa & some members of the ldc (:
being inspired by beautiful music ♥
ok, not the best quality [its a phone picture]... but this? this is Christmas.
there is nothing better than Christmas at temple square.
it combines my two favorite things: the gospel and christmas lights.
i could seriously spend every night there and never get bored.
it's beautiful.
of course, the lights at temple square always remind me of one voice, which gets me living in the past, but that's okay, right?
favorite one voice Christmas memory: we were performing on the upper floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, and they had a room set aside for us to warm up. well, apparently we were loud and "interrupted" some girl's piano playing, because we had some very angry parents bustin' in that room, biting our heads off for warming up. oops. of course, one voice being so full of serious people, we were all very upset by this incident, and vowed to never warm up again. ohh wait. we may or may not have just laughed it off, and felt bad for the poor girl who couldn't fight her own battles.
but anyway... temple square at Christmas = love. pure and simple. in my opinion, no place represents Christmas better. the feeling of the spirit and love is so strong there, and i hope i get to go back before the season ends! (:
